Italian Road Trip Part IV: Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre (meaning Five Lands), include five small villages at the Italian Riviera. Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and after checking out Google Images, it went straight on my bucket list.

DSC01157We’ve done all 5 villages in 1 day and it’s needless to say that it wasn’t enough. I already have in mind what I’d want to do next time I’d visit the Cinque Terre:

Tan on the sands of Monterosso al Mare

Walk up to some of the vineyards at the Vernazza mountainside

Climb the Lardarina (33 flights of stairs, with nearly 400 steps made from brick) in Corniglia

Hike the “Lovers Walk” from Manarola to Riomaggiore

Cliff jump into the Mediterranean in Riomaggiore

As mentionned, it’s possible to do everything in one day, but believe me when I say you should take some more time to enjoy the beauty that is the Cinque Terre. That was it for my Italian road trip. Stay tuned for one last video post.
