One of my favourite artists of all time: René François Ghislain Magritte. My company organized a private tour for a couple of clients in the Magritte museum and this time, I was going to check a couple of masterpieces.
Whenever I tried to analyze a piece, I’d get it wrong and so I’ve given up on trying to be an expert and just listen to the guide to get a better understanding of what the artist is saying in his pieces.
After listening to the guide, you can sometimes interpret some of the other pieces and that’s how I’ve slowly become an art enthusiast. It has become something I appreciate and it doesn’t require any of my analytical sense for it.
With all the events I had to organize in all the different museums, I couldn’t help but become appreciative of art which hadn’t been the case before. Unfortunately, I only got to do one floor out of 5 cause again, work comes first.
Awesome news for the Royal museum of Fine arts and the Magritte museum: they shall enrichen in 2015 with my €13. As long as I’m an event coordi, I’m never going to fully enjoy a full free tour of any museum which is why I’ve added those two museums to my new year’s resolution.
